I offer facial reflexology from my treatment room in Lee on the Solent, Hampshire.
Facial Reflexology is an intensely relaxing treatment that brings all the benefits to your well-being that you may experience from foot reflexology. Both the muscles and the acupressure points of the face are gently worked on as well as including an uplifting neck and head massage.
This therapy is especially beneficial for those who suffer with frequent headaches, migraines, sinus pain and head tension. Your facial muscles are gently massaged, encouraging the skin to glow and feel smoother as the circulation is increased and the tension released. Improving blood flow to the neck and face and releasing tension in these muscles can help to prevent headaches and migraines from starting. Regular sessions can help to reduce the frequency and severity of symptoms.
Your choice of Neal’s Yard Organic Facial Oil will be used as the facial acupressure points are gently worked. The treatment will finish with a gentle massage of the scalp and neck.
This wonderful therapy can also be received throughout pregnancy and can help reduce anxiety and tension as well as help to clear the sinuses which can feel more blocked at this time.
What to expect during a treatment
At your first appointment we will discuss how you are hoping the therapy will be able to help you and we will complete a confidential medical and emotional wellbeing consultation form. You will then be made comfortable on the couch with plenty of cushions and blankets if needed.
The treatment will begin with a gentle cleanse of the face and relaxing massage, before the acupressure points are worked. The hands on treatment time is 45 minutes, but please leave at least one hour for the appointment. This is so there is time for you to fully relax at the end of the session, have a drink and discussion of the treatment and to receive aftercare advice.
